AFM activities are predominantly in the South Bend Area (please see the Calendar of Events tab) however, we currently have AFM members from Chicago to Jackson, MI.  We are open to collaboration with adoption support groups in your area and hope to expand our network in 2009.  Start a group and send your information to me through the "Contact Us" tab.
 
 
Battle Creek/Kalamazoo, MI Area

What: Announcing a new local Adoption Support Group

Who: If you are a foster parent, adoptive parent, waiting adoptive parent or thinking of adopting this group is for you. 

When: The 3rd Monday of every month starting in January 2009 from 6:30pm to 7:30pm.

Where: First Church of the Nazarene, 5625 Oakland Drive, Portage, MI  49024

Would you like to ask questions, talk to others who are in the same process as you, share stories, connect with other adoptive/foster families?  Come meet with us. 

Once a quarter we will have a special speaker relating to foster care, adoptees, birth mothers, and much more.  The other months please come sit, relax and share.  You may bring your children to play in the gym or playground if you have someone to watch them.
